Dream-Rider Shadows appear when spirits fail to fully return from the Dream-Rider Vigil on the Ohlai Steppe. The affected riders walk and breathe, but their eyes mirror Cyressel's arc instead of Solivar's.
Such riders may act with alien purpose, following unseen routes or responding only to moonlight. Katari dream-guides labor to call the lost spirits back, lest the shadows drift into permanent estrangement.
