First Ignition is the Solflare early-spring rite in Bastion of Aurex. At dawn, priests kindle the year's first heliograph beam from the Heliarch's Spire, while Beacon-Wardens haul polished sun-slabs into position along the cliffs.
The light scatters across cliff villages and sea lanes, symbolically reawakening Aurex's covenant with Solivar for another cycle. For a week after, citizens and allied travelers are believed to see more clearly in sunlight and to discern truth more easily.
