The Vanished Wagons refers to three caravans that entered a steppe mirage-belt during a dust gale and never emerged. Echo-horn towers recorded a looping whistle-note before sudden silence.
Some whisper the wagons were claimed by an ancestor stampede, others that they slipped sideways into a forgotten oath-road. Families still light sky-lanterns each year, hoping the missing follow the lights home.
