Memory-Braids are woven records of life among the Ohlai. Riders braid their hair or horse-cords with knots for triumphs and beads for sorrows, carrying their histories in living strands.
When clans merge or outsiders are accepted, braids are spliced together in a moonlit rite known as the Lacing of Echoes. Fauns provide music, Katari preserve the genealogies through dream-visions, and the new braid stands as a contract of shared memory.
