The Black Lens is a heliograph shard discovered by Dawn-Breakers that absorbs light instead of projecting it. Held up to Solivar, it drinks in radiance and darkens, casting no beam.
Some whisper that the Lens can erase sin or burn away shameful reflections; others fear it erases identity itself, devouring the stories that light would tell. Priests and cultists alike seek it, and few agree on who should dare wield such a devouring mirror.
