Beacon-Oil is concentrated bioluminescent algae harvested from tide-chambers beneath Solarion Keep. Refined into a viscous, long-burning fuel, it powers heliographs, signal lamps, and coastal beacons.
Fleaspark signal lanterns and Sunlash chronomancers rely on Beacon-Oil for steady light during experiments. Mixed with flashpowder or exposed to certain Velkar storm-opals, it can ignite violently, making smuggling especially risky.
