Lightning Leeches are winged predators drawn to the static fields of storm-laden caravans and skyships in Velkar Spires. They latch onto metal carts, rails, or hulls, bleeding off charge until brakes fail and sails collapse.
Some sky-clans breed small, non-lethal cousins of these creatures to act as living lightning rods, but wild leeches can grow large enough to drag gliders from the air.
