The Whisper-Mold Choir is a patch of Memory-Mold in Beneath-Root that hums in multiple overlapping voices. It replay the last words of Hollow founders and other long-dead citizens, but lately some voices echo deaths that have not yet occurred.
Fungril Cantors debate whether the mold is prophetic or parasitic. Scholars hiring adventurers to study it warn that physical contact allows the fungus to seed visions directly into bone, entangling the host in possible futures.
