Greatshell Haven

At Torral's heart drifts Greatshell Haven, a slow-roaming metropolis grown upon the back of an ancient world-turtle, revered by the Galapa as kin and ancestor. Its scute-plazas rise and tilt with each ponderous stroke, while tide-organs, vast pipes of pure tidesilver tuned to shifting salinities, bellow sea-deep chords that resonate through the rain-shrouded bayous.

Here, Galapa elders inscribe tidal runes directly into the shell, mapping Solivar's thirty-hour arc and the twin moons' cadence across its surface. Markets float on pontoon wharves, trading whalebone ink, coral clay, and ambergris candles, while dwarves and humans work the forge-docks, binding covenant-steel in harmony with the tide-organs' song. Infernis fire-binders tend crucibles submerged in seawater for tempering, and Drakona divers brave the drowned ziggurats during ebb-tides, returning with relics only the tide deems ready to surrender.

In Greatshell Haven, prophecy, commerce, and endurance move together, each step and each tide carrying the Brotherhood forward on the patient back of the world-turtle.

Notable Features

  • Tide-Organs of Greatshell Haven: Vast pipes of tidesilver tuned to shifting salinities, whose sea-deep chords help regulate both ritual and forge-work.
  • Greatshell Archives: Carved shell-markers, trade tokens, and covenant-runes recording Torral's living memory across the scutes of the ancient Galapa host.

Hazards & Customs

  • Visitors are subject to the Guest-Current rites and Shell-Tithe obligations of Torral.
  • Surge-quakes can tilt entire districts of the shell, and undertow shades sometimes rise from the drowned ziggurats below.
