Night-Eclipses are rare alignments of Tassaryn and Cyressel when Aurex's heliographs falter and even lighthouse-temples dim. Once a decade or so, the Bastion's beams gutter and shadows briefly regain dominance.

In that interval, oath-eaters and other shadow-creatures crawl up the cliff paths, sniffing for discarded vows and devouring them whole. Many Aurexi fast and remain indoors during Night-Eclipses, leaving only the bravest wardens to patrol the darkened heights.
