Radiant Silence is the enforced stillness surrounding Mirror Duels. During these contests, even spectators must remain absolutely silent so as not to interfere with light and reflection.
A careless shout or cry of alarm draws the duel's concentrated radiance onto the offender, searing their name into the arena floor and branding them with permanent light-scars. Many Aurexi treat such scars as both shame and grim honor.
