Guest-Rot is a hospitality custom in Myrrun Hollow. Visitors are issued a rot-token, usually a seeded fruit or small fungus, meant to decay naturally over the course of their stay.

When the token has softened and collapsed, the guest is expected to depart or renew their welcome in a formal rite. Removing or destroying the token early brands the traveler with bark-rash runes and an air of social suspicion, often giving them disadvantage in negotiations and requests for aid.
