Flood-Mothers are river-focused matriarchs and priestesses across the Nokhul Vale who hold that rivers are living arbiters of justice. They watch flood-lines, eddies, and debris as auguries of alliances kept or broken.
Their hallmark rite is the flood offering: boats of grain, resin, or carved oaths set adrift each thaw. Boats that survive the season prove alliances still hold; those that sink or shatter are taken as warnings of betrayal. Orc clans, in particular, treat flood-trials as binding honor-oaths.
