Ancestor Stampedes occur when the steppe wind keens in three rising notes. Grass ripples with ghost-herds, and those who fail to bow are dragged in their dreams to ride with their ancestors until dawn.
At the Confluence of Banners, the risk of stampedes is greatest, as so many echoes gather in one place. Surviving such a ride can grant visions or scars that never truly fade.
