The Protocol Tithe is a civic requirement in Aeterron whereby every newcomer must donate a non-violent process, recipe, mnemonic, or algorithm to the public archive. In return, they receive a Citizen-Guest Hash granting tram access, translation glyphs, and nightly law-updates.

Those who refuse the tithe are denied hospitality and may be shadowed by auditors until they comply. Chronic refusers risk being branded "Idle," doubling the cost of all services and marking them as civic deadweight.
